THE SPACE IN BETWEEN
The Spring Summer Collection invites you to step into a world you didn’t know you were longing for—a dream you hadn’t yet dared to dream. This past year at the farm, lovingly named The Yellow Field, has been transformative, and this collection is born from that journey. Each stroke of the brush, each detail of every design, was painted in my new studio, overlooking fields where horses graze and chickens roam freely. It’s here, surrounded by the hum of nature and the rhythm of life, that the essence of this collection came to life—petal by petal, stem by stem, inspired by the beauty that grows all around me.
One of the brightest muses for this collection is Lorton, my horse, whose story and spirit are woven into this season's heart. For years, I searched for a design worthy of him, a pattern that captured his untamed beauty and soulful strength. And now, I’ve finally created Lorton Trotting—a tribute to his many layers: wild, challenging, imperfect, and yet radiant with a golden heart full of immeasurable love. His journey to freedom, to finding a home here, mirrors my own. Lorton has taught me patience, resilience, and the beauty of embracing imperfection, guiding me to this magical place that feels like destiny.
Another cornerstone of this collection is Sally Rose, inspired by the roses that have grown and climbed here for decades. Each hue—from deep reds to soft pinks and vibrant yellows—unfolded in waves all summer long, as if telling their own story. The yellow, of course, captured my heart most, echoing the name of the farm. And then there’s the Vintage Stripe, born from a cherished scrapbook I’ve kept for years—a celebration of odd, unexpected palettes and timeless compositions that whisper nostalgia.
This collection is steeped in the feeling of coming home, which is exactly what this year has meant to me. It’s why I chose the title The Space In Between. It reflects where I am in this moment of life—as a designer, a mother, a daughter, and a granddaughter. So much has shifted this past year. Amid the joy of planting roots at The Yellow Field, I said goodbye to my dearest grandmother, my brightest light. Her loss was profound, but her spirit is now part of this place. We planted a tree in her honor, and it stands watch over the farm, a living reminder of her love and grace.
Through this journey, I’ve found peace in process, beauty in imperfection, and inspiration in the old and the broken. This farm has become my muse—the place where everything now begins and ends. It’s where I wake up to the sound of my daughters laughing and where I fall asleep knowing my husband is wrangling hay bales and goats with the heart of a cowboy. Together, we are the stewards of this imperfect but deeply perfect life, filled with love, connection, and creativity.
My hope is that this collection sparks something deep within you—a sense of nostalgia, of finding your own space in between. A moment to pause, reflect, and savor the beauty of imperfection, the richness of connection, and the joy of coming home.
With love,
Erin
