The Yellow Field is more than a venue — it’s a story of land, legacy, and love for art and gathering. In 2024, we began the journey of reviving an old farmstead in Gorham, Maine. A place where old apple trees still stand tall, and the spirit of those who once lived and worked here lingers in the wind.
Originally built in 1774, the farmhouse and surrounding barns had weathered generations. What was once a quiet, working farm is now thoughtfully transforming into a space for celebration, creativity, and meaningful connection. Weddings, art events, seasonal gatherings — each moment here honors the past while dreaming forward.
Our vision is rooted in beauty and intention: to preserve the soul of this historic land while offering a place for family, friends, and community to come together — beneath wide open skies and among blooming fields. The result is The Yellow Field — a venue where sophisticated imperfection meets natural elegance.
Horses graze nearby, chickens roam freely, and the gardens are slowly growing into something wild and wonderful. This is a place for those who find joy in the simple, the handmade, and the beautifully undone.
Our story is one of restoration, grounded creativity, and a deep commitment to crafting timeless experiences. We invite you to join us — where every event becomes a memory, and where the beauty of the past makes way for something new.
