COLORS + FABRICS
Barkcloth is a generic term used in the textile industry to describe the nubby, bark-like texture of a 100% cotton open crepe weave. After much research, I found a local mill who sells this heavy textured soft cotton fabric using a modern loom that has been retrofitted to replicate the highest quality barkcloths of the 1940’s and ’50’s. It is an incredibly soft and luxurious fabric with a wonderful drape, and is woven in the USA.
We print on 7oz canvas and our new heavy 21oz canvas. Our 7oz is woven for us coordinating with our natural off-white color Barkcloth.
This medium weight, apparel-grade fabric is baby-soft, with an amazing drape. While the fabric is machine-washable, we suggest hand-washing, due to the intricate details.
Our linen is sourced locally in New York imported from Europe and comes in many different colors and weights. Our most popular linens are the Oatmeal and Oyster linens.
