MEADOW: The fields around my home remind me of my childhood where my Mom and I would pick wild flowers and spend hours putting them in collected vintage vases. The MEADOW pattern to me is the grasses swaying in the breeze with smattering of flowers at a distance…somewhat abstracted and pure. If you squint the grasses and flowers turn into simple shapes. The Kelly Green version with the buttercup yellow organic drawn circular shapes is exactly what I see on these long runs. As I switched out the colors the pattern just became more abstract, not so literal and I fell in love with it’s simplicity and texture.
